Subversive LA goes inter-planetary and visit Clear Planet!
Getting There: After receiving the location, we drove off to downtown LA. The parking was free and plentiful! The party was in an art gallery, which we found easily as there was a line of about 20 people outside, and this was just before 11pm!.
Arrival: At the door, well more like in the line, at 11pm? We all know there must be a economic crisis if there is a queue outside a party before 1am! All the same, the line was filled with friendly people, and we had a good giggle. There was barely any waiting time, and the Clear Planet team moved us all in quickly. Thanks to the CP team, we and others who were on the guest list got in for free!
Party Scene: Once in, and past the larger of the 2 smoking patios, we passed a good sized bar with all the necessary refreshments, and it was straight to the dance floor. A great lineup, blasting off with Amber Reyn, who we really enjoyed. Next up was Suli Belarto and then DJ Developer with a savage set. The night continued to bring some of the best talent from LA and of course Anja Schneider & Dan Curtin. The crowd was super friendly and the vibe was great. A few words MUST be mentioned about the amazing sound system… let just put it this way… it was full sensory intoxication! And the visuals by the VJs added to the whole experience projecting hilarious dancing divas on screen. Next time ping-ping matches perhaps? LOL
Final Word: This was really a great night, the DJ talent was amazing and location was great. The venue was good, if anything it may have been just a touch small. We’re excited about the next installment in the Planetary Series, which we’re told should be around mid-May or June.
